13 Lakh Credit or Debit Card details of Indian’s has been hacked, which is now available for sale on Dark Web.

Recently, a cyber security company named GIB(Group IB) of Singapore has informed that 13 lakh credit or debit card details has been hacked in India. The stolen details of credit or debit cards is for sale and the cost of per credit or debit card is 100$.

Hackers are selling the details in Joker’s Stash Dark Net Market. Joker’s Stash is a website for black marketing and virtual hub of stolen card data. It is a dark web website, which makes it anonymous and very hard for anyone to access it.

Now the question that will come in your mind is that what will hacker do with all these details. The one who have the access to these details have the freedom to do anything with your money as well and you can’t do anything. Therefore, you should be careful.

You should know that the 13 Lakh credit or debit card which has been hacked, out of them 98% are Indian Banks and 18% are from single bank. The amount of money the hackers are making by selling the card details is 9,220,000,000 INR. So, this is very horrifying news.

You must be thinking how the hackers access your details. So, they hack it when you do any kind of online transaction or in some cases even when you use ATM machines as well.

The most horrifying thing is that we can’t do anything to stop this. As the most developed country “USA” was also the victim of the same attack and nothing was done by them.

You should use your credit or debit card only on the trusted platform and avoid using your card on the small or untrusted websites. As most of the cards get hacked from those types of websites.

In most of the cases, the hacker makes use of viruses and spyware, to attack and get access on to our machines. Spyware is a program which get installed into your mobile like other applications.

It sends all the information like your location, call logs, messages, banking details and many more to the hacker. Now, hacker can access and use all this information without your knowledge.

  2. You should also avoid unknown messages and neither open them, as spyware can also get installed from these malicious messages.
  3. You should never visit to the unknown website.
  4. Don’t put your details to every other website. As you can also get hacked by using these details.
  5. You should always see that whether the website you are visiting is HTTPS supported or not.
  6. If you are using mobile banking, then you should change your password after the regular interval of time and make sure to use long and strong password. This reduces the chances of getting hacked.
  7. If you are using ATM machine, you should take a close at it. As hackers are using cloning machines in ATM.
