cPanel was developed by John Nick Koston in 1996. So, before cPanel was introduced, we had to manually manage the hosting resources.
Without cPanel, it becomes difficult to manage to host because then we have to do it using the command line tool.

How to Upload a Website using cPanel?
Here are the 4 steps for Uploading a Website using cPanel:
1. log in to cPanel
To access the cPanel Login page of your hosting, you can use the URL – www.WebsiteName.com/cPanel (YourWebsiteAddress/cPanel).
However, if you still can’t access your cPanel Login page, then you can contact your hosting provider to get the URL of the cPanel Login page.
Then you have to enter the credentials (Username and Password) which are provided by your Hosting Provider, to log in to cPanel.
2. Go to File Manager
Inside the Files section, click on File Manager Option.
3. Open public_html file
Then you will see the list of files and directories from which you have to open the public_html directory.
4. Click on the Upload option
Inside the public_html directory, you have to upload your website files.
After selecting the files, just click on the Open button and all your files will be uploaded successfully.
